By following the example of Ford with the Mustang Mach-E Chevrolet is also bringing back the familiar name with an all-new model and electric car. So it’s no surprise that the two electric SUVs will be direct rivals. Not yet in the US market, because the new Chevrolet Blazer has not yet arrived in Europe.

And yes, that’s a real shame. Chevrolet Blazer, built on the new Lithium architecture, will have four different models: LT1, LT2, RS and SS. It’s interesting: depending on the variant, the electric SUV has only front, rear or all-wheel drive.

SS met WOW

At the moment, the American manufacturer is only communicating about the Super Sport, the top-of-the-line four-wheel drive version of the electric SUV. System power of 565 hp and maximum torque of 879 Nm. In the so-called WOW driving mode, short for Wide Open Watts, Chevy Blazer SS runs from 0 to 100 km / h in less than 4 seconds.

The Chevrolet Blazer SS gets a revised exterior design, a special chassis setup and 22-inch wide wheels, fitted with Brembo brakes. It must be so, because Super Sport wants to compete with sports Ford Mustang Mach-E GT.

The Chevrolet Blazer EV can charge DC quickly at a maximum rate of 190 kW, so that 10 minutes is enough to extend the driving range by approximately 125 km.
