The long-awaited 2024 BMW 4 Series Coupe has been observed in its sporting M Sport and M440i flavors, giving us a glimpse of the highly anticipated model.
Spy photographers have captured the German automaker’s newest vehicle undergoing testing at the Nürburgring, showcasing the aggressive front fascia and athletic profile of the two-door.
The model’s M Sport trim is equipped with big 20-inch M light alloy wheels, a blacked-out kidney grille and carbon fiber accents. The M440i, on the other hand, is characterized by its more muscular body, including a large air intake on the hood and a larger and bolder grille, as well as additional air ducts on the sides.
The 4 Series Coupe is expected to share its platform and powertrain with the current-generation 3 Series. This means that the base model will likely be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, while the M440i will come equipped with a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine. Both engines will be mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The interior of the 4 Series Coupe is expected to feature the same technology and comfort features as the 3 Series sedan. This includes a digital instrument cluster, a large infotainment display, as well as a wide array of driver assistance features.
