Buick Envision 2024 – Canadian price and details

The 2024 Buick Vision will start at $45,670 when it arrives at Canadian dealerships this summer. The manufacturer continues the renewal of its range with a mid-cycle update of its compact SUV.

Remember that the Envision 2024 was presented for the first time last summer, but we had to wait all this time before we had more information on the specifications, price and launch date of the model.

Buick Envision 2024 – what’s new?

The compact’s body update includes a redesigned front fascia, inspired in part by the recent Wildcat concept. Overall, the design is similar to the new Envista and updated Encore GX, both expected this year.

The interior is also modern, especially at the dashboard level. It now has a large 30-inch widescreen display, which includes the driver’s instrument cluster on the left and the multimedia touchscreen on the right. This screen has more controls than before, for example those for seat heating and ventilation.

Another notable change is the migration of the gear selection buttons from the lower center console to the arm associated with the steering column (which itself has been redesigned). In the old area of the gear shift buttons, there is now a rotary knob for volume and a small storage space for phones or other items.

Some of the previously optional features are now included as standard, including cruise control and a surround camera system. New features include enhanced automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking at intersections, side cyclist alert, rear pedestrian alert, automatic rear brake, adaptive headlights and assist for driving in the dark (if you change lanes the car will give you a small control to let you know).

The new standard audio system is the Bose Premium system from the old Avenir variant with nine speakers. Head-up displays, heated front seats and a steering wheel are also standard. The ST and Avenir versions also come standard with a rear heating system; The Avenir model also offers a massage function for the driver’s seat.

Currently, the 2024 Envision does not have GM’s (General Motors) Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system.

Du Buick Envision 2024 Editions

As with the outgoing model, the 2024 Buick Envision comes in three trims, Preferred, ST and Avenir. The ST (Sport Touring) variant, which replaces the Essence model, was originally intended to be a set of options offered by the Preferred and Essence editions.

Standard rims are 18 inches on the Preferred model, 20 inches on the Avenir and ST models. Buyers can choose new wheel designs and new exterior colors (Calypso Blue Metallic and Smoke Amethyst Metallic).

The basic Envision model once offered cloth and leatherette upholstery, but now it’s only the latter. The ST model inherits the perforated leather with piping and suede accents. In the Avenir version, it becomes a skin covered with a tube. Depending on the model, buyers can choose between five different interior colors. Multi-color ambient lighting is also included.

2024 Buick Envision engine

There is only one engine for all trims, a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder with 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. As before, all Canadian Visions have all-wheel drive, which includes a dual-link system that can transfer power to the rear wheel when it senses slippage (instead of both equally in all conditions). The Avenir model features a continuously variable damping suspension designed to smooth the ride.
