Here’s Your First Look at the 2025 GMC Full-Size SUV

The 2025 GMC Yukon is about to make its debut, and we’re getting our first look at the front end in a teaser photo the automaker just released. GMC planned to officially launch the full-size SUV later this year.

GMC is teasing the 2025 Yukon for the first time, revealing the front end of the SUV. It has a vertical radiator grille, flanked by C-shaped LED daytime running lights, which have a new layout, now sitting in a vertical position.

A powerful muscle hood is also visible in the image. That’s like a teaser image reveals from a car that keeps updating mid-cycle.

The new Yukon will see the return of the AT4 trim, with the Denali also part of the range, with the latter receiving a number of upgrades to mark its quarter of a century on the market. After all, it’s the AT4’s fifth anniversary, since its launch with the Sierra 1500 back in 2019, and the 25th anniversary of the Denali sub-brand, which spawned the 1999 Yukon Denali concept.

Models dressed in camouflage have been caught testing on public roads since 2022. The GMC Yukon XL Denali Ultimate was spotted wearing large 24-inch wheels, which would be a first for an SUV.

Redesigned taillights, redesigned taillights, and square-shaped quad exhaust must also be on the menu for the Denali luxury version.

With all the testing available, it wasn’t until January that GM finally confirmed the arrival of the refreshed Yukon. Since then, prototypes have been shedding camo, a sign that the model, which shares its underpinnings with the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe, is getting closer to its debut.

What we don’t see in the teaser image but what will be there is a refreshed cabin. A digital instrument cluster, sitting behind the steering wheel, will provide important driving information. A vertical-style touchscreen will allow control of many of the vehicle’s functions.

There won’t be any major changes under the hood of the refreshed GMC Yukon. So, we will deal with the expected 7.3 liter V8 petrol engine. The GMC will come with a 3.0-liter inline-six turbodiesel Duramax engine instead of the current LM2’s 3.0-liter inline-six turbodiesel. A naturally aspirated 5.3-liter V8 L85 powerplant will also be part of the plan.

The upcoming GMC Yukon should be shown later in 2024, according to the automaker. That should be after the new Acadia hits dealerships, which is scheduled for later this spring. GMC plans to expand its presence in other markets, with Australia, New Zealand, and China on the list.
