Drive: Two-litre boxer with electric assist and all-wheel drive

The only engine version of the Subaru Impreza (2024) available in Germany is a two-liter boxer engine with electric assistance and 136 hp (110 kW) with a CVT transmission. With an integrated electric motor of 12.3 kW (17 hp), the Impreza can even drive fully electric – but only two kilometers. But that is not his goal either. A small electric car is primarily intended to reduce consumption and reduce emissions. As is typical for the manufacturer, all-wheel drive is on board as standard. Subaru announces that the facelift has given the Impreza a ten percent stiffer chassis and better handling.

Subaru Impreza (2024) with a length of 4490 mm, a width of 1780 mm and a height of 1515 mm Subaru Impreza (2024) has been modified discreetly but regularly: the headlights that are now narrower and three-dimensional rear lights are visible. The proposed rear diffuser also has a more visible profile. The interior features a larger touchscreen (11.6 inches) and the center console is now piano black. The Japanese have also made improvements in terms of safety. The manufacturer modified the EyeSight system, which is intended to detect pedestrians and bicyclists crossing in advance. This means that the car warns more reliably or even brakes automatically. The Subaru Impreza (2024) will also have the Automatic Emergency Steering System as an option, which is meant to prevent collisions by taking evasive action at low speeds.

Driving style: Incorporates well-known basic values

Subaru remains true to its line and, with the sixth generation Impreza, brings a solid car with well-known core values to the market. Experience, driving technology and its difference should convince when it comes to compacts. All-wheel drive is still rare in this segment. It remains to be seen whether the Impreza can hold its own with just one engine variant.
