In mid-June, the 24 Hours of Le Mans is one of the highlights of the international motorsport calendar. The legendary race is scheduled for the weekend of June 15 and 16 in 2024. The official program begins more than a week in advance. The organizing ACO has already given a rough outline of when and what will happen. Exact times are not yet available. (all information is of course not guaranteed)

Technical inspection of the cars starts on June 7 – the Friday before the actual race week. As always, this will take place on the Place de la République in the heart of Le Mans. The technical inspection will also continue on Saturday, June 8. The preliminary test is on the agenda on June 9. The cars in the 24-hour race will then be able to drive through the legendary route of 13.626 kilometers and work on the configuration of the race week. The Ligier European Series will also hold races.

Although things are always quiet at Le Mans on Monday, the main events on Tuesday (June 11) are the automatic session and the Pit Pit, in which mechanics compete for the fastest tire change. Things will get serious on Wednesday (June 12). Then there is the training run for a series of supporting races. In 2024 these are the Le Mans Road (LMP3 and GT3 cars), the Fun Cup and, for the first time, the Lamborghini Super Trofeo. For the 24-hour race there will be two free practice sessions and qualifying on Wednesday. In this, positions starting from the ninth position are given for each class.

The top eight in each class will move on to Hyperpole, which will take place on Thursday (June 13). The third and fourth free practice sessions for the 24-hour race also take place on Thursday. The supporting race series have more practice sessions – the Le Mans Road and the Lamborghini Super Trofeo even have their first races.

On Friday (June 14) there will be the Fun Cup race, which is scheduled to last four hours. Later there is a walking track, during which spectators can increase to certain parts of the race track. A traditional driver’s parade will also take place in the center of Le Mans, during which the drivers of the 24-hour race will wave to fans with currency converters.

The big day is Saturday (June 15). The Lamborghini Super Trofeo and Road to Le Mans each have a second race. There is a 24-hour race build-up and of course the regular race start at 4:00 p.m. The end is Sunday (June 16) 24 hours after the start.
