Rick recreates Johnnie Flodder’s pink Chevrolet in detail

Rick van Stippent from Vught has recreated the classic Chevrolet Caprice convertible from the Flodder movies down to every detail: bright pink on the outside and green leather upholstery on the inside. He hit the road for the first time on Tuesday. Rick is making dreams come true with this iconic car.

“When I used to go to get a video tape of one of Flodder’s films for a few guilders, I always said: later I want a car like Johnnie Flodder, but new. Well, that’s there!”, says 29 -years old birthday Rick proudly. The car is not new, but it looks like new. Rick has a company where unique cars are usually taken care of down to the last detail.

Rick found the copy that Johnnie Flodder used to make the neighborhood unsafe in the southern German films. A video about the search for the 1973 car is at Youtube Channel and Rick almost 200,000 views.

“For me, Flodder films are part of Dutch history.”

“The odometer shows 95,000 miles, which is about 100,000 miles, but we made it new again,” says Rick. “When you drive it, it’s a real event and people on the street are watching with open mouths.”

Rick is a perfectionist and doesn’t think anyone else will be allowed to take the helm anytime soon. “I will drive it with my children and when they are a bit older I will show them all the Flodder films. For me, those films are part of Dutch history and so is this car.”
