2025 Buick Enclave Caught Parked in Michigan Neighborhood

2025 Buick Enclave Caught Parked in Michigan Neighborhood

  • Buick’s three-row SUV, the Enclave, is being redesigned for 2025.
  • It’s likely that Buick will shave several inches off the next-generation Enclave.
  • The current Chinese Enclave is smaller than the one sold by Buick in America.

The new Buick Enclave is coming for 2025, and we stumbled upon the engineering mule parked on the streets of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Buick’s big three-row may shrink in size for its third generation, though, as the Enclave model we caught seemed to shade closer to the Cadillac XT6’s 198.5 inches than the current Enclave’s 204.8 inches. Although the XT6 and Enclave sit on the same basic platform, Cadillac’s 112.7-inch wheelbase trails that of today’s Enclave by more than eight inches.

With the 2024 GMC Acadia moving from the rigid base it previously shared with the XT6 to the generous-sized, long-wheelbase skeleton of the current Enclave, it’s possible Buick will trim the 2025 Enclave so it doesn’t detract from sales from its GMC badge. a cousin that often shares showroom space.

It’s also possible that this mule is a Chinese-market Enclave due to the size of the front license plate, and due to the fact that Buick already produces a smaller Enclave for China. However, this Buick model should give us a bit of an idea of what the US-spec 2025 Enclave will look like, as both Enclaves are sure to share very similar designs.

For example, the Enclave mule we saw includes several cues shared with the sketch Buick recently released for the 2025 Enclave. This includes its window line, squircle-ish wheel wells, and a horizontal body line that runs the length of the doors. Buick’s front-end design is there, as well.

Will the next-generation Enclave remain one of the largest versions of the three SUV lineup in the midsize segment, or will it move to the smaller model that General Motors stuck under the outgoing Acadia? All this and more will be revealed when Buick reveals the 2025 Enclave later this year.
