390 hp for 299 euros: Cupra Formentor VZ5 in lease

With Formentor, Cupra has received a big hit! The SUV is a real seller – not only for its sporty design, but also for its wide range of engines. Formentor is now available as petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid. The power range is between 150 and 310 hp. Since the end of 2021 there has also been a top model VZ5 with a 2.5-liter turbo five-cylinder from Audi. With respect, the power in the Cupra is increased from 400 to 390 hp, which is still more than enough power. Thanks to the all-wheel drive and seven-speed DSG, the SUV accelerates to 100 km / h in 4.2 seconds and slows down only to 250 km / h. However, a lot of performance also has its price: At least 65,640 euros, the VZ5 costs almost twice as much as the cheaper Formentor (1.5 TSI and 150 hp from 35,530 euros). But in the rental there is a high model at a good price!

At sparneuwagen.de (a cooperation partner of AUTO BILD), commercial customers have the opportunity to rent a Cupra Formentor VZ5 for 299 euros net. No deposit required. The duration of the contract is 24 months and 10,000 free kilometers per year. Want a longer time? No problem, the SUV can also be rented for 36 months (net 342 euros) or 48 months (net 355 euros) if you like. If 10,000 free kilometers per year is not enough, that is not a problem either. Various kilometer packages up to a maximum of 30,000 kilometers per year are available for an additional charge. With the highest mileage, however, Formentor also costs at least 445 euros net per month. (maintenance costs count? By comparing car insurance!)

Rental costs for two years: around 8000 euros the net

Regardless of time and kilometer package, there is a one-time payment of EUR 831.93 net (EUR 990 gross) for delivery. In the best case, this results in total rental costs of 8007.93 euros (299 euros 24 times plus 831.93 euros) for two years of driving the Formentor VZ5.

At AUTO BILD, the top model of the Formentor had to cover more than 30,000 kilometers in just a few months in daily tests. VZ5 was able to fully convince. The five-cylinder was a dream and did not swallow as expected: on average, we won with 9.6 l/100 km. The conclusion of colleague Guido Naumann was unequivocal: “We would probably manage 50,000 kilometers in four months without any problems. The Cupra Formentor VZ5 did not even bother us, we were impressed by its speed, driving pleasure and transport characteristics.”

In addition, the VZ5 has good standard equipment. LED headlights, sports seats, a navigation system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, parking aids with a reversing camera and a lane departure warning system are already on board at no extra cost.

Since this is an order car, the Cupra can be freely configured for an additional charge. The leasing partner specifies a free delivery period of around six months.
