4 novels by 2026, including next year’s Elroq

Following the launch of the Enyaq SUV in 2021, Skoda news has been quiet when it comes to electrics. On the other hand, the calendar of the coming years promises to be very busy, with no less than four new 100% electric models, in areas that have never been seen before for the manufacturer. Mostly SUVs, it’s not surprising … but surprises are possible.

In Skoda as elsewhere, the electrification of the range is increasing and should lead by 2026, a very close scope therefore, with an almost complete version, in line with models with conventional or hybrid engines. If 2023 will be marked by the redesign of the Kamiq and Octavia, as well as the update of the Kodiaq and Superb, the focus is mainly on the new features that will complete the Enyaq from next year. The Vision 7S concept, previewing a large 7-seater SUV, is the most solid example of this to date. He is above all the most distant aliens shown in the Czech product plan, as he is not due to arrive before 2026.

For now, we are satisfied with the resin sculptures that allow us to discover the drawings that make up this new electric flotilla. And unfortunately, Skoda’s design shift (christened “Contemporary Solid”, for the record) brought in general over the next results. Including hybrid or classic models. Nothing real so far, apart from the blank front panel treatment and some styling cues spotted on the Vision 7S.

Elroq, electric Karoq for next year

The size below the Enyaq, the most compact SUV will be the first to open the ball with new features in 2024. This electric Karoq will take the technical place of the MEB of the Volkswagen group, also used by its big brother. . Little definite information so far, apart from its dimensions (about 4.50 meters long, a little shorter than its cousin Volkswagen ID.4) and a very accurate idea of its appearance: it will be one of the first production models to use the Evolution of the styles of Skoda announced the Vision 7S.

Younger sibling in 2025, less than €25,000

The family will continue its expansion even less next year, with an SUV called to compete with the Jeep Avenger and other small electric jigs. There is still no official name for this electric partner of the Kamiq, which should be seen inside approximately 4.20 m and resting on a smaller version of the MEB platform, announced earlier this year by the Volkswagen ID.2 (which represents an electric city car similar to the Polo, as a reminder). As the latter, Skoda offers a contained price, which should start below 25,000 €.

An unprecedented electric hunting station wagon for 2026

The third discovery, and this is undoubtedly the best news, Skoda has no intention of becoming an electric SUV monomaniac. During 2026, the rest of the size comparable to the Octavia Combi (about 4.60 m) will make its debut. Again, a little technical information, the MEB platform still has time to evolve in the next three years. However, we notice a contour, which is similar to a narrow and elegant shooting brake. And then, you never know: With the Octavia Scout missing from the list, Skoda would probably be advised to reject it in an upgraded variant. In an odd twist, we’d be dealing with one of the rare all-terrain power station wagons! And Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo …
