Four members of the Mansa family were among the five people killed in a fatal road accident in Sirsa on Tuesday.
The tragedy occurred when two cars collided head-on near the village of Nadala. The collision was so strong that the cars were completely destroyed and the occupants of both cars were killed on the spot.
The deceased were identified as Joginder Singh (40), Gurpreet Kaur (35), their two kids, and Joginder Singh’s brother, Amandeep Singh (20), who were all from the Mansa family.
The driver of one of the cars, identified as Lakhwinder, was also killed in the crash. The other car was driven by Jitender, who suffered critical injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
The accident has caused shock and sadness in the area. Residents of the village, as well as the neighbouring villages, gathered at the site of the accident in a show of solidarity.
The police were alerted about the crash and rushed to the scene. They examined the vehicles, and the bodies were sent for post-mortem examination.
