The big BMW wrote more than 50,000 euros in one year

Autovisie is always looking for used cars for enthusiasts. However, sometimes we also come across a model that is not very popular among car fans. This used BMW XM has depreciated 45,000 euros in one year.

Most cars depreciate in value, especially in the first years and kilometers, your car may be worth less. This BMW is an extreme example.

BMW XM

This BMW XM was registered in the Netherlands on 25 April 2023. This means that the car is less than a year old. The list price of the used car is 189,603 euros.

The event cleared 45,000 euros

Used car for sale at BMW dealer in Groningen after less than 30,000 km. The asking price is 144.950 euros. This means that the car has depreciated by around 45,000 euros.

However, a used car is still expensive. But what do you get for the money? Under the hood is a 4.4-liter V8 biturbo that produces 489 hp. The car is a plug-in hybrid and also has a 197 hp electric motor. This brings the system power to 653 hp and 800 Nm of torque.

The used car’s electric motor is connected to a 25.7 kWh battery pack that allows you to drive up to 88 kilometers on pure electricity. All this technology also has a disadvantage: weight. It’s surprising how many used BMW XM cars are already for sale. 17 are offered on Gaspedal.nl with more than 5,000 miles. The other 45 XMs offered on the sales site are stock models from BMW dealers. In short, there is little choice if you are willing to spend around 150,000 euros on XM.
