Imola: More than 50 Lamborghinis expected in support action

More than fifty cars will be present on the weekend where the Lamborghini SC63 LMDh makes its debut in Europe and on Italian soil – an ideal situation for the brand from Sant’Agata Bolognese. As usual, four classes will be maintained: Pro, Pro-Am, Am and the LB cup.

In terms of entries, no less than eight new teams will appear in the Super Trofeo, including the famous Schumacher CLRT team. In terms of drivers, two people from Italy and Belgium are considered the favorites. Mattia Michelotto and Gilles Stadsbader, who won five races with VS Racing last season, are tipped to take the championship. In the absence of Brendon Leitch, the way seems clear for them, but they can expect a strong opposition. Amaury Bonduel (BDR Competition and GrupoForm) will also appear at the start as a solo pilot, most likely under the French flag.

Another Belgian who will participate is Nigel Bailly, who competes in the AM and ART-Line class, while Serge Doms represents the LB class. Renaud Kuppens and Roee Meyuhas will defend the colors of the Boutsen VDS Championship in the Pro-Am. In addition, several other partners are expected.

Due to the large turnout and the challenging Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit, qualifying sessions have been split this weekend. For example, Pro and Pro-Am each get ten minutes twice, as do Cup Am and Lamborghini. The first race will take place on Saturday evening at 5:40pm, while the second race of the weekend will start on Sunday at 9:45am. Both races are 50 minutes long.
