Since its introduction at the end of last year, the new Volkswagen Tiguan has been received with great enthusiasm. The third generation SUV has won many hearts even before launching its market thanks to its practicality, stylish design and high-quality functions. From now on it is possible to experience the power of the new Tiguan for yourself, because it is now available at a Volkswagen dealer for a detailed introduction, with a starting price of € 46,990*.

The new Tiguan is a true Volkswagen in every way and yet it is brand new. For the elegant design, the designers were inspired by the large Touareg, which gives the Tiguan a sense of confidence. This high design philosophy also extends to the interior, where high-quality materials and excellent craftsmanship are the first things you notice. The dashboard, door panels and seats are carefully designed with ergonomics in mind. On board, the latest version of the MIB infotainment system and large screen ensure a seamless connection to the driver’s ecosystem and, for example, the integrated Spotify app. Of course, great strides have also been made in terms of road holding. Thanks to the optional Dynamic Chassis Control Pro suspension, the driving behavior of the new Tiguan can be perfectly adapted to your wishes and tastes: from comfortable and smooth to dynamic and sporty.

Hybrid revolution

The new Tiguan is based on Volkswagen’s MQB Evo platform, on which many high-tech components are integrated and shared. The platform is specifically designed to handle the power supply. That’s why every version of the Tiguan has hybrid power. This starts with two new 48V hybrid car options, where the petrol engine is assisted by a small electric motor. This ETSI 1.5 delivers 96 kW (130 hp) or 110 kW (150 hp) and combines high efficiency and power performance. The eTSI drivetrain is paired as standard with Volkswagen’s 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.

Now also as an eHybrid

From now on, the new Tiguan can also be ordered as an eHybrid plug-in hybrid, in the Lifestyle Edition and the R-Line Business versions. With a full electric range of up to 129 km** and a fast charging option, this model offers a better alternative for everyday use compared to fully electric vehicles. The new Tiguan eHybrid is also very powerful: power is 150 kW / 204 hp or even 200 kW / 272 hp. A powerful, automatic 6-speed DSG transmission ensures smooth power transmission to the wheels. With an impressively high towing capacity of up to 2,000kg, the Tiguan eHybrid is ideal for drivers with an activity that requires a caravan or trailer.

It has a lot of accessories as usual

The large standard Tiguan equipment is already very complete and can be further modified to personal preference through the options list. Three versions are available: Tiguan, Life Edition and R-Line Business. The base variant, called the Tiguan, starts at €46,990* and is already equipped with features such as Blind Spot Sensor (Side Assist), Reversing Camera, Rear Airbags, Digital Cockpit Pro, 17-inch alloy wheels and attractive the 12.9-inch multimedia system with App Connect.

More Luxury for Life Edition starts from €49,990* (or €50,990* as eHybrid). This version offers Explore navigation, Adaptive Cruise Control, anti-theft alarm, power tailgate, tinted and soundproof side windows and rear window, LED lights and adds luxury chrome rails to the standard equipment. Adaptive Chassis Control is also standard on all eHybrid versions.

The R-Line convertible offers a complete upgrade to the R-Line style both inside and out, including attractive Ambient Lighting and 20-inch alloy wheels and is available with the eHybrid powertrain from €53,990*.
