How to replace a time zone in Africa – this slightly provocative name is not exaggerated at all. The Citroen BX 4×4 crew, sponsored by us, participating in the Budapest-Bamako rally, had to find and replace the timing belt in the 1.9D engine in central Africa. Did it work?

A few weeks ago, the Polish staff of the Budapest-Bamako rally arrived in Sierra Leone. After several thousand kilometers of ambitious journey, fighting against time, lack of asphalt, demanding cadeau and gifts and other problems – we succeeded. Every journey truly ends when it can be told. And now that time has come.

“I don’t want to waste my life sitting around doing nothing. You just need to find such an adventure” – says Piotr Biegała. “We searched for a time zone long and hard. The local repairman went above and beyond, and we also had a very clean workshop for Africa. We overpaid, but we were able to fix it. Did we reach the finish line?“
