Nuremberg – Bad news from Central Franconia: Monday, May 8, around 11:40 pm, a terrible accident occurred. A 21-year-old man lost his life. He had entered the trailer of a parked truck for reasons that have yet to be made clear.
A terrible accident in Nuremberg around midnight: a 21-year-old died
According to a press release from the police headquarters in Central Franconia, the accident happened on the south Franconian highway. The accident was reported to the police from there, after the BMW hit a truck trailer parked on the hard shoulder before the Wiener Strasse roundabout.
According to police, the force of the impact pushed the car almost completely under the trailer and then burst into flames. Therefore, the emergency services on site first had to do the extinguishing work. Any help came too late for the BMW driver. “According to preliminary police investigations, the deceased may be a 21-year-old man,” the press release said.

Long-term cleaning work after the accident in Nuremberg – the reason is unknown
The truck driver, who was in the cab at the time of the accident, was not injured. By order of the public prosecutor’s office, an expert was called during the night to begin an investigation at the site. “In the first steps at the scene of the accident, the police also secured the remains of the completely destroyed BMW,” it says.
Due to extensive clean-up work, the area was largely closed until the morning hours and traffic was diverted accordingly. (fx)
