The Kia EV5 electric SUV for export is in mass production

International version of Be EV5 it is now mass produced in a factory in Yancheng, China. The EV5 joins the EV6 in Australia as the smallest model. The entry-level FWD Air unit offers a 160 kW engine and a 64.2 kWh battery that provides a range of 530 km (~330 miles). The next model is the Earth Long Range version, with an 88 kWh battery that extends the range to 720 km (~450 miles). At the top of the range is the Earth Exclusive AWD model, with the addition of a 70 kW rear engine, also featuring a high-capacity battery with a range of up to 650 km (~400 miles).

The Kia EV5 is expected to arrive in Australia next June, although the company has yet to release an exact launch date and price. Rumors suggest that the EV5 Air may be priced lower than Tesla Model Y, which sells for 65,400 Australian dollars. To give you an idea, the EV6 starts at 149,800 yuan (~$20,800/A$31,900). The launch of the new model is also expected in Canada and Mexico.
