Brazen Audi driver pushes Paderborn and complains on the phone

Paderborn. Traffic signals are also used on Sundays and public holidays. But according to information from the Paderborn police, not all road users seem to be aware of this.

A 39-year-old driving school instructor contacted police on Monday afternoon to report the weekend incident. During the day he was driving his car on the B1 near Paderborn towards Bad Lippspringe. In the area of the bridge construction site on the Mastbruchstraße over the B1, the Audi drove past him, although the driving instructor was maintaining the speed limit of 50 kilometers per hour set by the traffic signs.

Meanwhile, the 39-year-old’s hands-free system showed a call from an unknown number. When the man answered, the man behind him spoke. The driver had dialed the number printed on the back window of the driving school car and complained that the driving instructor was enforcing the speed limit. After all, these signs would not count on Sundays and public holidays and therefore would not be observed.

Pass on the first opportunity

It is not known if he also had a hands-free device or was making illegal calls on his cell phone while driving. When another opportunity came after the construction zone, the Audi driver accelerated and passed the driving school car.

On this occasion and although it wanted to show itself, the police would like to point out that the traffic signs or the general rules of social coexistence do not lose their validity on Sundays and public holidays. Violations will also be penalized accordingly during this period.
