Marvel Reveals First Look at Anthony Mackie & Harrison Ford in Captain America 4

Marvels director Nia DaCosta looks set to follow up her MCU debut by directing one of the 28 Years Later movies.

Although the video shown at CinemaCon was not released to the public, some details about what was shown have been revealed. The secret footage contained film footage of Ford “Thunderbolt” Ross welcoming Sam Wilson to the White House, honoring him for his work seen in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Ross tells Wilson that he’s needed to help gather Earth’s strongest heroes, but it’s not long before trouble starts. A group of large soldiers enter the White House and attack the President, and among them is Carl Lumbly to respond to his attacks. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier role as Isaiah Bradley.

“It made more sense for it to be an action-based spy movie instead of aliens and planes coming in through doors and s—,” Mackie said of the more grounded approach taken by. Brave New World. “Even though I’ve been in a lot of them and seen it all now, Sam’s opportunity to prove himself as a true star and Avenger comes with this film.”

The film also brings back The Incredible Hulk actors Liv Tyler and Tim Blake Nelson reprise their roles as Betty Ross and The Leader. Rosa Salazar and WWE Superstar Seth Rollins also have unconfirmed roles in the film. Julius Onah directs the film co-written by Malcolm Spellman, Dalan Musson, and Matthew Orton.

Brave New World Taunts Big Enemy

“The name suggests that there’s a new, bigger enemy now; there’s a new frontier that we have to conquer,” Mackie said of the sequel’s title. “From Captain America: The First Avenger for The end of the game, the enemy was always good versus evil. Now that we’ve overcome that, where do we go from here? When the bad guys reappear, in what shape do they reappear? It’s a new story with new characters, with new beliefs, and it creates a new idea for this new world we’re entering.”

Captain America: Brave New World will be released in theaters on February 14, 2025.
