As the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament nears its dramatic conclusion, the teams vying for the top seed have been identified. Four teams have earned the title of one-seed, with the remaining twelve teams vying for the remaining three spots.

The South Carolina Gamecocks are another one-seed team to watch. The Gamecocks earned the top seed in the SEC tournament, and have the second-best overall record of the one-seeds (22-3). They are led by Aliyah Boston and Zia Cooke, two of the most explosive players in the NCAA. Boston averages a double-double of 15.3 points and 11.6 rebounds per game, while Cooke averages 16.9 points and 4.1 assists per game.

The UConn Huskies have been one of the most consistent teams in the NCAA all season long. With a 21-2 record, the Huskies have the third-best overall record of the one-seeds. They are led by Paige Bueckers, who has been one of the most dynamic players in the NCAA this season. Bueckers averages 19.9 points, 6.3 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game.

Rounding out the one-seeds is the Louisville Cardinals. The Cardinals have an impressive 22-3 record, and have been one of the most consistent teams in the ACC. They are led by Dana Evans, who has been one of the most electric players in the NCAA this season. Evans averages 18.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game.

As the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament approaches its climax, the four one-seeds have emerged as the teams to beat. With a combination of strong overall records, powerful offensive weapons and experienced leadership, these teams are poised to make a deep run in the tournament.
