The two 911 RSRs displayed by the GT Porsche team will bid farewell to the GTE Pro class of the FIA ​​​​WEC World Endurance Championship in a spectacular way – at the final round of the season in Bahrain they will perform in unique colors. The painting in honor of the 10th anniversary of the 515 horsepower GT machine will benefit, among other things, from the classic Porsche Motorsport design theme and the beloved “pink pig”. The eight-hour race will be held at Sakhira Stadium on November 12.

The white bodies of the two 911 RSRs to be displayed by the Manthey team will receive a striking color scheme with red, blue, red, black, gold and gray stripes running through the front, along the rear wing of the car. The words “goodbye” will appear on the windshield in bold letters. The panels of both cars show the 16 class wins since 2013, and the roof shows the names of all the drivers from the last 10 years of the factory beginning with the word “goodbye” in the national languages ​​of the respective regions of the WEC circuits. where the 911 RSR competed.

“Our machines will be eye-catching in the final race of the FIA ​​WEC. In fact, in Bahrain, our goals remain the key, i.e. to win races, as well as titles among constructors and drivers”.

I think we have created an excellent project. It is a perfect combination of modern styles and historical colors “.

November 12 will be the factory team’s 62nd race in the GTE Pro class from 2013 – and the last. The unit will disappear from the program next year. The 911 RSR will however continue to race in the FIA ​​WEC Championship. In 2023, customer teams will display this proven machine in the GTE Am class. Starting next year, the sports car manufacturer from Stuttgart will join the new seasons of the World Endurance Championship and the North American IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship series with the Porsche 963 under the Porsche Penske Motorsport brand. The goal: victory in the overall result, especially in the famous marathons of Le Mans, Daytona and Sebring.
