Which SUV should you choose to pull over and replace the Acura ILX?

Keeping your car by buying a lease makes sense. The residual value at the end of the lease is certainly favorable compared to the market value, as are almost all leases signed in the last three or four years. In addition, you probably already have all the necessary equipment (winter tires, winter mats, etc.), which you will have to buy with a new car.

Better

To replace the Acura ILX, several options are possible for such parameters. To have some towing capacity, you have no choice but to look at mid-size SUVs. Most will give you around 2273 kg (5000 lbs) of towing capacity.

The best option, in my opinion, is the Honda Passport. It does everything very well, with good reliability, good performance and excellent resale value. However, it is expensive to buy, especially if you want to add the towing package for around $3,000, which can have a big impact on the monthly payment. This is what sets it apart because even though its resale value is beneficial in the long run, you have to pay now.

Three other interesting options

However, I think the best option would be the Kia Sorento. It is well equipped with a tidy interior and good road handling. Its 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder versions are efficient and offer good towing capacity. Six seats are available, two in each of the three rows of seats. I’d personally go for the well-equipped EX version. I’m not worried about reliability over a period of 5 or 6 years.

Subaru Outback with XT engine is also worth considering. Slightly smaller than the Kia Sorento, it offers only two rows of seats that can seat 5 people in total. Its 2.4-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission delivers decent performance, even if its response is sluggish. Its reliability will not be a problem, even if the driving pleasure is low.

Finally, if you don’t need all the space that the other three models mentioned above can offer, the Mazda CX-50 can also be an option, with a turbocharged engine that can tow 1,588 kg (3,500 pounds). It offers sharper handling than others, active mechanics despite a six-speed automatic transmission and careful interior finishing. Its reliability will also be very good in the long run.

I would stick with these models, personally.
