The Bentley T1 is actually a ‘sportier’ variant of the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, but to enable it with a roll cage, racing livery and a limited slip differential…
This incredible Bentley T1 is for sale for Cool Classic Club in Naarden for 49,500 euros. It’s not quite original anymore, as you can see, with a heroic eye and a lot of extra lights on the nose.
Bentley T1 stickers featuring Silverstone and Zandvoort
Changes to the rear of the once elegant limousine are also visible. On the Silverstone and Zandvoort stickers, a large rolling cage can be seen through the rear window. On it is written in white letters: Bentley Racing.
Wood, leather and a whole range of meeting meters
Inside there is still wood and leather. The dashboard alone is sprinkled with a number of amazing meters, buttons and displays. This T1 is designed for regular public meetings, that’s clear.
Is the 6.2 V8 so loud you can’t hear each other?
Two blue cloths and a set of headphones hang from a sturdy cage. This seems to be normal in normal meetings, because the driver must be able to hear the navigator clearly.
Hey, Bentley is finally doing away with the W12 drink!
And a real small slip differential on the rear axle
To properly transfer its 203 hp from the 6.2-liter V8 to the pavement, the owner (also a T1 convert and restore) installed a small slip differential on the rear axle.
Race number as a reminder of the year of construction
The race number on the side is not a child sex joke Elon Musk that will do, but the year of manufacture of the T1. The iconic British sedan hasn’t driven more than 150,000 kilometers since 1969, so there’s room for improvement…
