Meek Mill said he’s an occasional Tesla driver after he ‘almost died’ in a brake pedal accident on his first day behind the wheel of a GMC Hummer EV.

The Philadelphia-born rapper, 36, who shared details about the car crash last month, took to Twitter/X Friday to express his dismay at the incident.

‘Wassup with these internet trucks because I had another electric car “not a Tesla” it did the same thing I had an accident and was seriously injured,’ the Going Bad artist said. ‘Airbags didn’t even come out of the total car!’

Meek Mill praised the durability of Elon Musk’s automotive brand after his brief experience in the Hummer EV.

“Tesla has always been safe for me,” the Shaq & Kobe singer. ‘I tried a new s*** and it almost killed me on the first day!’

In a subsequent post, the music artist accompanied the post with a clip of the car’s damage in the fatal incident, particularly in the driver’s seat area.

The entire front panel on the driver’s side of the car was crushed and the tire was resting on the frame, indicating a possible broken axle on the car.

‘The first day I bought this car without airbags … the brake pedal went out … the door was open with no safety features … no laser scanner working … this took me out of control, I was in the park with the car it started to go away!’ he said.

The music artist said he ‘had this car for 4 hours max’ before the car started to break down.

The manufacturer, GMC, responded to Meek Mill’s thread, asking for more information so they could investigate what was wrong,

“We take safety very seriously and want to connect with you to learn more about this situation,” the automaker said. ‘Please DM us to describe this incident so we can investigate further.

‘Looking forward to your more informative DM. Please include your VIN as well.’

The rapper at the beginning of March revealed in a shocking photo posted on his Instagram Stories the damage that had been done to the car in the incident.

At the time, Meek Mill posted a picture of a damaged Hummer, showing off the hood and headlights of the expensive electric vehicle.

‘If God tells you not to hit bustas … listen to me,’ he captioned the shot. ‘S*** took me out lol … gmc whole brake pedal slipped my first time driving smh.’

Meek then reassured his fans by jumping on social media to let them know he was fine.

‘Stop asking me if I’m ok I’ll play raw the way the world is,’ Meek wrote, adding: ‘Blessed I’m ok but I can’t hear anything good!’

His next tweet said he was shooting two new videos in Philadelphia.

The rapper also released his five-track EP Heathenism on March 1 and has been promoting it extensively on his social media.
