Accident in Saint-Jean-de-la-Ruelle: a 17-year-old driver died

A 17-year-old boy who drove a cart without a license, hit by an Audi on the night of Friday April 5 to Saturday April 6, in Saint-Jean-de-la-Ruelle, died. Central RepublicFriday April 12.

Originally from Saint-Jean-le-Blanc, the young man was hospitalized in serious condition. The passenger in the cart, aged 17, was also hospitalized in critical condition and was put into an induced coma.

An investigation entrusted to the national police of Loiret was opened to determine the exact circumstances of the accident. The collision happened on Rue du Onze-Octobre, near the intersection of rue de l’Aumène. The two cars collided head-on, when the Audi was arriving on the rue des Chaises.

The young man’s death should in all likelihood lead to the investigation being classified as “homicide”.

Five people in an Audi

Asked twice since Monday April 8, the Orleans public prosecutor’s office has so far not released any details about the circumstances in which the accident occurred.

In the Audi were five people, two adults (a 29-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man) and three children. The woman was slightly injured and the other four people were all unharmed.
