At the end of last week, there were 18 road accidents on Lower Silesian roads, where 22 people were injured, and unfortunately four died on the spot from their injuries. The biggest incident occurred in Oleśnica poviat, where a 41-year-old driver of a Volkswagen car, for unknown reasons at the moment, ventured into another lane and collided head-on with a Mercedes truck. Unfortunately, as a result of their injuries, the Volkswagen driver and a 39-year-old passenger died at the scene.

In view of the accidents that occurred on the roads of Lower Silesia last weekend, officials once again call on all road users to maintain safety rules and observe the applicable regulations. Let’s remember that motorists must be very careful when merging into traffic, changing lanes and traveling, and always check the rear mirrors. A motorcyclist, motorcyclist or even a cyclist can come at any time.
We also remind you that you should pass only in permitted areas. Before we start doing this trick, we have to make sure that it will not be a threat to road safety. Let’s cut corners and not go in the opposite direction. Carelessness can lead to serious accidents. It should also be mentioned about adjusting speed to road conditions and applicable limits. It is also very important to keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front.
At the same time, pay attention to road signs.
We also call on motorcyclists not to exceed the speed limit and not to pass in prohibited areas. They are considered road users who are not protected by any incident and their participation may end in sorrow.
Motorcyclists should also wear clothing that is used for riding such vehicles, including reflective vests or vests, and a helmet.
We also remind all drivers that overtaking before or at the pedestrian crossing, and passing a car that was traveling in the same direction but stopped to give way to pedestrians, are very serious mistakes that often contribute to serious accidents. Therefore, remember to always be very careful when approaching a pedestrian crossing. When you see a pedestrian, slow down so you can stop your car safely when crossing the street. Always remember the safety of yourself, your loved ones and other road users.
