Subaru and AMD collaborate to bring artificial intelligence to the next generation of EyeSight.

Subaru has collaborated with AMD create circuits for a SoC (system on an integrated circuit) incorporating stereo camera recognition processing and artificial intelligence, enabling better decision-making.

Cooperation is within the scope of activities carried out by Subaru in order to improve safety performance of its vehicles, aimed at the goal of not causing fatal road accidents involving Subaru vehicles by 2030.

On the Eye system in the next few years

Subaru collaborated with AMD to design optimized SoC circuits based on Adaptive SoC. AMD Versal AI Edge Series Gen 2 recently launched, aiming to achieve high-performance AI routing and high-end low-end processing at a reduced cost.

With this improved system-on-chip, Subaru will further increase the recognition processing capabilities of the stereo camera that it has developed over the years and aims to incorporate this new technology into its system. Seeing with the Eyes the next generation in the second half of the 2020s.
