Acura #10 ahead, tough for BMW – OA Sport

Acura sets pace after first six hours of 2023 Rolex 24 at Daytona, first date ofIMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship. Filipe Albuquerque/Ricky Taylor/Louis Delétraz/Brendon Harthley (Konica Minolta Acura ARX-06 #10) command the general rate, while inside GTD PRO is Aston Martin smiling in front of Mercedes and Corvettes.

There was no lack of emotion and a good fight in the command of the operation between Acura and Cadillac. Shank Racing #60, the car that started from pole position with Englishman Tom Blomqvist, tried to escape, a failed mission following three cautions that broke the course.

The team that won the final title in the DPi class, the cars that have now given way to the LMDhs, had to contend with Porsche and Cadillac Racing as the clock ticked down. The German cars, managed by the Stuttgart manufacturer along with Penske and Cadillac V-LMDh #01 canceled the delay from the top, a combination that will later also be joined by the Acura #10 of WTR and Andretti Autosport.

Filipe Albuquerque/Ricky Taylor/Louis Delétraz/Brendon Harthley (Konica Minolta Acura ARX-06 #10) made a difference as the night came, incredible speed that temporarily changed the overall ranking. The situation remains unchanged, car #10 is currently ahead Pipo Derani/Alexander Sims/Jack Aitken (Whelen Engineering Racing Cadillac V-LMDh #31) e Earl Bamber/Alex Lynn/Richard Westbrook (Cadillac Racing #02).

F1, Frédéric Vasseur: “Ferrari’s goal is to win the World Championship, that’s the only thing that will make me happy”

The team led by Wayne Taylor Racing is showing up, with BMW sliding. The difficulty of the Bavarian brand that after only 60 minutes had to raise the white flag with Connor De Phillippi/Nick Yelloly/Sheldon van der Linde/Colton Herta #25.

In GT, however, Corvette and Aston Martin share the trophy. Antonio Garcia/Jordan Taylor/Tommy Milner (Corvette Racing #3) and Ross Gunn/Alex Riberas/David Pittard (Heart Racing #23/Aston Martin) They did not hold back in the first six hours, a very interesting duel that also saw the presence of Mercedes and Lexus #14 of the Vasser Sullivan team. He is currently at the top of GTD PRO there is Aston Martin #23, the car that last year won two rounds of the IMSA WTSC.
