2024 Acura ZDX Leases Start At $7,500 Off

With Honda getting an all-electric car with the Prelude, Acura is looking to enter the electric segment with the ZDX. With a starting price of $65,850 including destination, the ZDX is the most expensive vehicle in Acura’s lineup. But the 2024 ZDX will be available with something else Acuras isn’t — $7,500 in lease cash.

According to a statement sent to its dealers, Acura Financial will offer the 2024 Acura ZDX with $7,500 in lease cash as a cost discount. “All ZDX rentals will qualify for the tax credit,” claims the statement.

Buyers looking to buy a ZDX can take advantage of a $7,500 federal EV credit as a tax credit from the IRS or they can transfer the tax credit to a registered dealer and get an instant credit off the purchase price of the electric SUV. .

Acura’s confirmation that buyers who lease the ZDX will receive $7,500 in lease cash is good news for buyers who may not be eligible for the federal tax credit. For electric vehicles purchased in 2024, buyers must meet income requirements. Buyers who are married and file jointly cannot have an adjusted gross income of $300,000 or more. The income limit for heads of household is $225,000 and all other filers cannot make more than $150,000.

These requirements, though, only apply to buyers who want to buy an EV. There is no income limit for buyers who rent an electric car.

Acura’s decision to offer the all-electric ZDX at a $7,500 discount in the form of lease cash should appeal to some buyers. Interestingly, the ZDX, which uses many components from General Motors, is available for a cash lease, while the Cadillac Lyriq. it is not. Instead of offering the Lyriq with a $7,500 discount, Cadillac is offering its version of the electric SUV with an enhanced residual value that reflects the $7,500 incentive.
