Fisker lowers its production forecast for 2023. The American company writes this in the quarterly report, which otherwise gives gloomy financial figures. The company says it is struggling to deliver the recently launched Ocean Ferry to customers on time due to logistics issues.

Fisker estimates production between 13 and 17 thousand cars this year. That’s about 7 thousand less than the company previously predicted. “We haven’t been able to deliver fast enough,” CEO Henrik Fisker told investors on Monday. “People have paid and are waiting for their cars, and some are very upset.”

Due to disappointing production and price cuts, financial figures are also lower than predicted. The company reported a net loss of $91 million in Q3. That’s $8 million more compared to Q2. Fisker recently cut prices in response to Tesla’s price cuts.

Fisker supplies to ten countries, including the United States and most of Europe. The EV maker said it delivered 1,097 Seas in the third quarter this year, while it produced 4,725. The company does not have its own factory. Fisker said Monday that some established automakers are interested in a partnership, without commenting on specific names.

In addition to the Ocean, Fisker will soon launch the Pear, a small crossover with a base price of $ 29,900, and the Alaska, a medium model. According to Fisker, what is needed is the “ability” to bring these vehicles to market.
