After returning from the third stop of the MotoGP World Championship in the USA, Aleix Espargaro and Jorge Martin let loose in the GT racing car – Pol Espargaro was also at the beginning of the adrenaline event.

Aleix Espargaro (34) responded in his McLaren GT after his usual eighth place in the main MotoGP race in Austin this week. The setting for the festival of the veteran horse Aprilia and other friends was a track day at the piste of “Circuit Parcmotor Castelloli”, located in the northwest of Barcelona,

Aleix hired the MotoGP world champion and his friend Jorge Martin (26) as passenger and fun tanks. The “Martinator” could not contain his enthusiasm and even took videos of the two photographers from the passenger seat using a selfie stick. The two MotoGP stars will continue to Jerez de la Frontera at the end of April on their 300 hp single-track racing machines.

Espargaro’s younger brother Pol (32) was also in Castelloli. The Red Bull KTM MotoGP test rider sat on the KTM XBow GT and was beaming from ear to ear. About his performance, he said jokingly: “It’s not that bad! But still: There are too many bikes for me – I’m not used to that at all,” exclaimed Pol after one of his rides. “It was an amazing day – an amazing descent. It was a great experience!”

Espargaro, who currently also works as a TV expert in the MotoGP World Championship for pay TV broadcaster DAZN, had already trained at Castelloli when he took his personal KTM X-Bow. With Pol driving his entry into Mugello at the start of June, Red Bull-KTM Dani Pedrosa (38) will compete as a wild card in Jerez.
