Alfa Romeo Milano, everything is ready for the debut of the B-SUV

Everything is ready for the presentation of the new Alfa Romeo Milano. The wait is now over as the automaker will launch the new model on Wednesday afternoon. The SUV will be very important for the manufacturer as it will bring it back to the part B where it had been lost for some time, that is, since the Rivers were set aside. The car will be offered for all with 100% electric power and in the final version (hybrid).

WHAT DO WE KNOW?

The new B-SUV from Alfa Romeo it should be about 4.1-4.2 m long. However, its dimensions will not be very different from those of Fiat 600 and Jeep Avenger due to the close relationship with these models. Regarding the shapes of the new Milano, thanks to some photos shared directly by the manufacturer, it was already possible to get a first idea even if the car still seemed to be hidden by films covering the body work.

Moving on to the interior, in the past some drawings in the patent surfaced which seemed to envision some of the features of the B-SUV’s cockpit. The instrument will be 100% digital and in the center of the dashboard we will find a touch screen for the infotainment system.

Regarding the boot capacity, there is no accurate information but considering the versions of the Fiat 600 and Jeep Avenger, one can think that the Milano can carry only 400 liters.

Coming to the engine, the 100% electric variant will have the familiar powertrain included one 115 kW / 156 HP electric motor with a battery with a capacity of 54 kWh for a range that should be around 400 km. As for the endothermic engine, the Hybrid unit that the Stellantis Group uses on most of its brand models should arrive in 100 or 136 HP versions.

Earlier, there was also talk of a variant with all-wheel drive. Therefore, it could be a new power train made first on the new Avenger 4xe which could be based on a 136 HP Hybrid unit and a second electric motor at the back. There is also talk of one Quadrifoglio Edition which will come later. A model that should have a 240 HP powertrain that will debut on the new Abarth 600e.

Alfa Romeo has already made it known that it has worked on the chassis and set-up to ensure the driving dynamics that have always distinguished its cars. As for price, let’s just remember that the cousins Fiat 600 and Jeep Avenger start from 24,950 and 24,300 euros in the final versions and from 35,950 and 37,900 euros for the electric ones. For Milan it is reasonable to expect a slightly higher cost due to Alfa Romeo’s position within the Stellantis Group. The B-SUV will be built in Poland, at the Stellantis factory in Tychy.
