Review: Alfa Romeo Giulia (2026) – Italian Dodge Charger

CEO Jean Philippe Imparato confirms the arrival of the new Alfa Romeo Giulia. The body design is already largely ready, but you will still have to wait until 2026 before the car is ready for production. As recently suggested Dodge Charger Daytona (and the Challenger based on it) builds the future Giulia on the Stellantis modular architecture of the Large STLA.

The base of the Large STLA is not limited to a 100% electric vehicle unit, but can also be used for hybrid or non-hybrid combustion engines. Like the new Dodge Charger, which is available as an electric Daytona and as a six-pack with a standard V6, the new Alfa Romeo Giulia may also offer a choice of electric drive units and combustion engines.

Alfa Romeo Giulia specs

The Dodge Charger’s Daytona electric powertrain combines two electric motors (and thus four-wheel drive) with a 100.5 kWh battery pack. The R/T variant develops 550 hp, sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and has a driving range of 510 km (according to the American EPA standard). Sportier Scat Pack offers 670 hp, 3.3 seconds and 418 km. So there is a possibility to add a variant of Quadrifoglio links to the range of Alfa Romeo Giulia.

It is not yet clear what form the new Alfa Romeo Giulia will take. If rumors are to be believed, the next generation will swap its four-door sedan body for a five-door hatchback design. But the only thing we know for sure is that the new Giulia will once again be flanked by a closely related SUV that would once again be included in the lineup as the Stelvio. And the new Alfa Romeo Stelvio should be ready for production in 2025.
