Orders for more unlimited versions are expected to open in June, including the powerful performance version Elettrica 240 Veloce. The starting price for the hybrid Alfa Romeo Junior Ibrida will then be 29,500 euros, for the Alfa Romeo Junior Elettrica it will be 39,500 euros.

The Alfa Romeo Junior Elettrica has a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 54 kWh. The introductory version of the Speciale with 115 kW (156 hp) achieves a combined range of up to 410 km in the WLTP cycle or up to 592 km in pure city driving. With fast charging and 100 kW (direct current), the battery is charged from ten to 80 percent in less than 30 minutes. The new Junior Elettrica Speciale also offers a 11 kW charger on board as standard and a heat pump for better control of the battery before the temperature.

Extended equipment for the new Junior Speciale range includes 18-inch alloy wheels, a leather steering wheel, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat with massage function, an electrically operated tailgate with signal control and a keyless entry system. and engine start system. The rear window and rear side windows are tinted. The ambient lighting, adjustable in eight colors, also emphasizes the air intakes decorated with the historic Alfa Romeo logo.

Connectivity and entertainment on board the new Alfa model is provided by the AlfaTM Connect infotainment system, which is operated via a 10.1-inch (25.7 cm) diagonal touchscreen and offers a navigation system. The six speakers are designed to enable you to enjoy music in hi-fi quality.

The small hybrid technology of the new Alfa Romeo Junior Ibrida combines a combustion engine with an electric motor. The 1.2 liter petrol engine delivers 100 kW (136 hp). In certain driving conditions, it is assisted by an electric motor with 21 kW of power, which is powered by a 48-volt lithium-ion battery. This efficient combination reduces fuel consumption to an average of 5.2 liters (according to the WLTP cycle), according to the manufacturer.

The new Junior’s hybrid drive technology also ensures a smooth driving experience and the ability to drive on electric power, at least at times. The battery is only charged when driving, for example through recuperation when braking.
