(Motorsport-Total.com/Motor1) – The Alfa Romeo Milano is shown for the first time. So the curtain rises on the first (also) fully electric Alfa and the smallest model in the company’s lineup. It is a B-segment SUV and the intellectual successor to the Giulietta and Mito. It is based on the same platform as the Fiat 600, Jeep Avenger, Opel Mokka or Peugeot 2008 but still has its own style. With a length of 4.17 meters, a width of 1.78 meters and a height of 1.50 meters, the Alfa Romeo Milano takes some of the classic features of the brand. Starting with the classic front trident, which has the house of Visconti Biscione, which emphasizes the close relationship with the Lombard capital. The symbol is on the hood, directly above the grille and is not colored, but in gray and black.

Also special are the “C” headlights, which almost wrap around the front and have a split light signature that differs from that of the Giulia, Stelvio and Tonale. Instead, the Milano adopts LED matrix lights from its bigger relatives.

The deep front is somewhat contrasted by the clean flanks, with a line of windows rising from the center of the rear door. The roof (maybe available in different colors as an option) is compatible with the terrain.

The rear is set back, and a light strip runs across the entire tailgate. There is a touch of spoiler to this. There’s also a sliding rear window that softens the lines of the Milano.

Internal affairs

While the non-premium models are similar in terms of equipment, the interior of the Alfa Romeo Milano is similar to the Biscione series.

The digital instrument works with a 10.25-inch monitor. Just like with Giulia, Stelvio and Tonale. The infotainment monitor, also 10.25 inches in size and focused on the driver, has instead been moved to a lower position between the air vents and climate control buttons.

The app is new and has a widget-based interface. The Sabelt sports seats belong to the most powerful version of the Alfa Romeo Milano, characterized by the presence of Alcantara in abundance and other elements that emphasize the sporty character.

The middle tunnel has a few buttons, all physical. Including one on/off switch, gear selector switch and drive modes. Below the climate controls is a smartphone charging tray, which can also be connected wirelessly to the infotainment system to take advantage of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The SUV makes very good use of the CMP Stellantis platform, especially when it comes to the trunk volume of 400 liters. There is also – the first for a small electric vehicle in the group – a frunk in which small items or a charging cable can be stored.
