Fernando Alonso he has a question about it talks with Red Bull and Mercedes rejected. The driver said there was ‘no point’ talking about it because he has re-signed with Aston Martin.

Before re-signing with Aston Martin last week, Alonso was linked with Red Bull and Mercedes. The Spaniard was said to be in talks with both teams.

The driver will be in line to replace Lewis Hamilton and is also reportedly in line for the Red Bull seat.

Media reports said he could replace Sergio Pérez to form the squad alongside Max Verstappen, with others claiming he would take the Dutchman’s seat if Verstappen leaves for Mercedes.

Ultimately, none of these rumors proved to be true and Alonso committed his future to Aston Martin in what he called ‘probably my last contract’ in F1. And now Aston Martin is the only topic he wants to talk about.

When asked about rumors about talks with Red Bull in Mercedeshe said at Thursday’s press conference of the drivers in China: “There is no need to talk too much because it is finished now. I stick with Aston and I just want to talk about Aston. As I said last week, there were talks. and others, as usual for everyone at the time, but those were normal exploratory conversation.”
