There were five people in the car, including three children. It was found that the one who was driving the cargo van was the one who caused the accident, but none of the three passengers admitted to driving the vehicle. Thanks to the help of witnesses, the police determined that a 24-year-old man was behind the wheel, who, as it turned out, was drunk and had more than the legal limit of alcohol in his body.
