An electric car that should win the hearts of Chrysler fans

The Consumer Electronics Shows 2022, better known as CES 2022, is also a great opportunity for car manufacturers to showcase new products to the world. For the people at Chrysler, this above all means a great concept for an electric car.

It’s about Chrysler’s Airflow: an electric crossover SUV that looks like the Tesla Model Y and the Ford Mustang Mach-E. This particular example it’s just a concept, but it looks like a real model that could hit the market this year. Something that won’t happen, by the way.

An electric car for the Chrysler fan

The famous American Chrysler, owned by Stellantis, will sell only electric cars from 2028. This was announced during the unveiling of Airflow, the concept in question, during CES 2022. Good news for fans of the electric market, although it will take time before it starts with the trend this one. It turned out that the idea, which looks like a complete and complete design, is likely to become a reality in 2025. This is related to the promise of bringing the first electric car into production from that year onwards.

So not much is known yet about this new electric car. The Chrysler Airflow is a crossover SUV with four-wheel drive and a 150kW engine. It is not clear exactly the size of the battery, but the manufacturer talks about a range between 350 and 400 miles. Reversed, the range of the air flow of Chrysler is somewhere between 560 km and 640 km.

There are so many screens inside an electric car. There are four in the front of the car and two in the back. This way, passengers can enjoy everything the screen has to offer. And that is quite something, because the system can be completely configured according to the wishes of the user. Chrysler even says that your entire digital life goes with you. Although you can assume that Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will take over, especially in 2025.

Freedom at level 3

The most amazing thing about the electric car concept is the STLA AutoDrive. This is an advanced system (ADAS) that enables autonomous driving. In fact, according to Chrysler itself, the 3rd level of freedom can be achieved in this way. A bold promise, because this type of autonomous driving causes very few problems. Level 3 is a variant of autonomous driving where the driver still has to do something at times, but where the electric car drives automatically.

Only time will tell if Chrysler can deliver on the promise. It will be another three years before the electric car goes into production.
