Germany against Poland and Sweden, among others / Speedway of the Nations

In the Speedway of the Nations race, the semi-final race nations as well as the classification for the Speedway of the Nations 2 final, the U21 race, were published. Germany is in Half 1.

After the Speedway World Cup last year, the Speedway of Nations will be held again this year in Manchester with a total of 15 nations. In the period from July 9 to 13, four races will be held over five days with one day off.

Two semi-finals will begin with seven teams each, with the top two nations and the winner of the third-place playoff qualifying for the final on Saturday, July 13.

Hosts England are the only nation to qualify for the finals. The British do not have to qualify for the final via the semi-finals.

The German team will face teams from Poland, Sweden, Finland, France, Italy and Ukraine on Tuesday, July 9. The final was announced as a goal at the beginning of the year. To do so, Germany must finish at least fourth in the summer 21 to maintain its place in the finals. If the German duo land in one of the top two spots, qualification is guaranteed. In the case of third or fourth place, there will be a playoff for the last qualifying place.

The mode in the Speedway of Nations specifies that the teams have three drivers each and each nation meets every other nation once in best pair mode and points are awarded in a 4-3-2-0 race. The main thing is to prevent the last places, since this means that direct victories and draws between nations are impossible.

As part of two semi-finals and a final at the Speedway of the Nations, the U21 teams will also decide their champion in the final on Friday, July 12. Germany is among the seven teams that qualified directly for the final.
