A father destroys a drunken son’s BMW to prevent him from driving and cause an accident

A father’s love for his children is usually very strong, but it can manifest itself in unusual ways. Take the case of a 60-year-old man from Logroño, Spain, who went to great lengths to ensure that the drunken son was not behind the wheel of his black BMW and caused a disaster. To prevent this from happening, the Spanish man took a drastic decision. It certainly did damaged the carbreaking windows and demolishing metalwork using a motorcycle.

It all started when the local police received a call about someone who had vandalized a car parked on a public road in Logroño, destroy it with a motorcycle. The squad that was heading to the scene of the accident saw a white car fleeing the scene and managed to pull it over. Inside there was a man and a small passenger who were clearly drunk.

He was not the attacker, but the father himself

By questioning the two suspects, the police found out that he was not the attacker, on the contrary. The couple were father and son and the one responsible for the damage was the older one. The poor BMW, however, belonged to an alcoholic son. A sixty-year-old man explained that he had it tried to convince his son not to drive drunk, but without success. Fearing that he might cause a fatal accident, he had no choice but to ensure it he didn’t have a car to drive.

After a violent argument with his son, the man is alleged to have grabbed a motorcycle and started breaking the windows of the BMW car and punctured the tires and even punctured the metal. After finishing the job, the two got into the old man’s car and drove away when they heard police sirens.

It is not known if any action has been taken

Police sources explained: “The events happened in the early hours of Sunday when, due to the participation of the citizens, the soldiers were informed through the emergency number 092 that a person with a motorcycle was destroying a BMW car that was parked on the street.†. It is not known if the two men have he suffered harmdue to the cause of the damage, but the police department of Logroño sent the information which spread immediately.
