Arizona State And Fairleigh Dickinson Opened Some Eyes Wednesday Night

Washington State and Fairleigh Dickinson opened some eyes on Wednesday evening, as the latter upset the former in an awe-inspiring display of technical prowess and difficulty. The contest, held at Arizona State University, was a highly anticipated battle between two teams with divergent playing styles. Fairleigh Dickinson, known for its up-tempo, spread offense, surprised many with its willingness to grind out the victory on the defensive end.

The Knights stifled the Cougars’ offensive attack, limiting them to just 39 percent shooting from the field and forcing nine turnovers. While Washington State had their moments, Fairleigh Dickinson held the lead for the majority of the contest, thanks in part to their success at the charity stripe. The Knights shot a stellar 81 percent from the line while the Cougars shot just 58 percent.

The star of the evening was Fairleigh Dickinson guard Kaleb Bishop. Bishop put together a spectacular performance, finishing with 25 points, nine rebounds and five assists. His ability to penetrate into the lane and finish at the rim kept the Cougars on their heels all night.

The Knights will look to continue their success when they host UCF next week. Meanwhile, the Cougars will look to rebound from the loss as they travel to face Oregon State. Both teams have a lot to prove and Wednesday night’s matchup certainly opened some eyes across the college basketball landscape.
