2025 GMC Yukon AT4 teased, likely to follow 2025 Suburban template

It’s time to start tinkering with the 2025 GMC Yukon, the luxury truck division doing so with a front fascia outline on the AT4 trim. This being refreshing, we are not looking for major changes to hard points.

Unlike today’s Yukon, it looks like the new look will emphasize horizontal width instead of focusing on the central element of the large grille and skid plate area. Starting with the taller C-shaped headlamps in 2025, the short horizontal element at the top no longer reaches the grille surround, and is separated from the three main beams below by a body-colored strip that protrudes from the shower. . Under the lights, the new bumper treatment probably adds more aggressiveness compared to today’s truck. Instead of a black hub that houses the skid plate and a pair of tow hooks, it looks like the entire bumper will be black and wrap around the fenders. Finally, the grille looks the same, but its crossbars have been reprofiled.

Like the siblings of the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban that Chevy revealed last November, we expect many of the same updates here. Outside, that could mean improved independent rear suspension for more nimble handling, new wheel designs, and the availability of a second-generation 3.0-liter Duramax inline-six with 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque instead of 277 hp and modern. 460 lb-ft. Inside, we expect a new instrument panel with a 17.7-inch touchscreen for infotainment, and a column shifter that will replace the push buttons on the center console. Updated trim materials – along with an overdue infotainment upgrade – should provide a better luxury experience than what’s on offer now.

If the technical releases continue, buyers will be able to access the Integrated Cameras feature for viewing and recording inside and outside the vehicle for accident and safety purposes. The Interior Motion Detection System can detect “small movements” in the cabin that could indicate a child or pet left in the vehicle.

The Yukon may go further than Chevy SUVs, as GMC has some birthdays to celebrate: 2024 is the fifth anniversary of the AT4 trim and the 25th anniversary of the Denali trim. We’ll find out later this year, with GMC promising to reveal the Yukon sometime after the new Acadia starts shipping to dealers.
