It was presented worldwide in Cannes on May 25, and the first example of the “Launch Edition” was auctioned at the charity event, “amfAr Gala”, and sold for one and a half million euros, DB 12, Aston’s new “Super Tourer” Martin. it was shown in Rome, on the occasion of the horse show in Piazza di Siena. And on this occasion, the Head of Marketing and Communications of the International Market of Aston Martin, Renato Bisignani, wanted to comment on the new things. Speaking of DB 12, Bisignani said the car is already in production and the first delivery will take place within the year. “The model – said Bisignani – represents the perfect marriage between a high luxury space, made up of quality materials, and high performance, therefore pure performance, driving dynamics, and the involvement that the driver can have with the car. And it represents the car the first of a new generation of mid-engine DB line which is the historic line of the Aston Martin brand.

List price it is not yet fixed, but it should start at 185,000 pounds, around 220,000 euros. Regarding the amount of sales, Bisignani added that “the ambition is to reach around ten thousand units by 2025. This is the goal we have set for ourselves. Half of which will be made up of the DBX, our SUV, and the other half of our sports cars, with front and rear engines” . However, Bisignani emphasized, what is most interesting to Aston Martin is not the sales volume, but the profit margins. In the high-end sector, where the English brand is placed, it is the margin that can make the most difference in standards. “If we can guarantee high rates, rates become irrelevant”. When asked when the first “green” Aston Martin will arrive on the market, Bisignani did not want to go further, saying only that Aston Martin “will present the first electric car in 2025, which will go on sale in 2026”.
