The Lawrence Stroll racetrack is being renamed the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Racing Team. The partnership will focus on the development of internal combustion engines, sustainable fuels, advanced lubricants and the use of non-metallic materials in vehicles. In addition to joint research, the partnership also includes financing rights, licensing agreements, and exclusive branding and licensing rights for Aramco’s oils and lubricants. This is also the reason that the name of the team is changed.
With the arrival of Aramco, Lawrence Stroll a major player in the world economy. Saudi Aramco is the state oil company of Saudi Arabia and also the largest oil company in the world in terms of production and reserves. The company has a capacity of 10 million barrels per day and proven reserves of 260 billion barrels, or a quarter of the world’s reserves. Saudi Aramco is also Saudi Arabia’s largest employer, excluding the government. Until 1988, the company was called Aramco, short for Arabian American Oil Company, according to Wikipedia.
