Attractive look: Kia XCeed will offer these new features from September

Redesigned and refreshed
Kia XCeed makes a sporty appearance

The refreshed Kia XCeed is available for the new model year from September. Enthusiasts who love a sporty look will get their money’s worth here: For the first time, Kia is offering the XCeed in the sporty GT line.

For the new model year starting in September, Kia is putting the revised XCeed in dealer showrooms. The more rustic version of the Ceed compact, which has been lowered by a few millimeters, will be given a refreshed design and extended equipment for the fall season. The compact crossover has a newly designed radiator grille and front bumper, among other things. The rear gets a diffuser with a black low-profile design and defined exhaust tips. The optional digital instrument cluster now has new graphical views.

For the first time, Kia is offering the XCeed in the sporty GT line. The radiator grille is accentuated by the use of dark chrome, the back and the LED honeycomb rear lights with a diffuser in the body color. There are also black 18-inch rims and black exterior mirror caps. The interior is characterized by a sports steering wheel, seat covers with a special GT line design, a leather-wrapped gear lever and a black headliner.

Adjusted performance of assistants

Kia has also modified the way the assistants work. The adaptive cruise control system with stop-and-go functionality is now also based on navigation. Drowsiness warning now also detects distractions in traffic. For example, if the car in front starts to move and the driver does not react, he receives a warning.

As usual, Kia offers the XCeed with an 88 kW/120 hp one-liter turbo three-cylinder, a 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder with 118 kW/160 hp and a 1.6-liter turbo with 150 kW/204 hp. A plug-in combination with a system output of 104 kW/141 hp completes the range of petrol engines. The available diesel has an output of 100 kW/136 hp.

Kia isn’t mentioning prices for the updated XCeed models. Until now, the crossover was available from less than 22,000 euros. The EV6 will debut as a GT in the fall, with a market launch in November.
