System 1 | Aston Martin extends F1 to 2030

Aston Martin has confirmed its commitment to Formula 1 until at least 2030, with Lawrence Stroll saying the sport has helped. “transformer” his activity.

Aston Martin took over the naming rights from former team Force India and Silverstone-based Racing Point in 2021, and the team’s name will remain on the grid for at least another 6 years, as it looks set to continue.

Executive chairman Lawrence Stroll has helped fund a major infrastructure spend at Aston Martin F1, which has seen the team move into a new factory, which includes its own wind tunnel and state-of-the-art equipment.

The deal to increase its sponsorship commitments also saw Aston Martin Lagonda, the parent company, take up an option to acquire a nearly €25 million stake in the team.

“System 1 has helped change the nature of Aston Martin’s business and given us levels of performance and reliability by integrating it into our cars,” Stroll said at an event at Gaydon headquarters.

“Not only has Formula 1 given us 2.3 billion viewers to see Aston Martin 24 green weekends this season but it has also brought us even younger customers for Aston Martin.”

“We are therefore delighted to extend our investment in F1 and the team until at least 2030.”
