Audi Hungaria Revenue Reaches EUR 8.4 bln in 2022

Audi Hungaria’s revenue ascended to EUR 8.4 billion in 2022, fortifying the German-based automaker’s position as the largest automotive manufacturer in the nation.

The figure, disclosed today by Audi Hungaria, reflects an impressive 8.4% surge in revenue from the prior fiscal year. The increase was driven by a surge in sales of vehicles produced in the company’s Gyor plant, which produces a range of Audi models, including the Q2, A3, and Q5.

The company credited its success to a combination of factors, including its commitment to employee development and the launch of new engines and vehicle models.

“We are proud to have achieved such strong revenue growth in 2022,” said Audi Hungaria CEO Julius Seebacher. “Our success is a testament to our focus on innovation, quality and employee engagement.”

The surge in revenue was also buoyed by Audi Hungaria’s focus on digital transformation, including its investment in digital manufacturing and connected car technologies.

“We are increasingly leveraging digital technologies to improve efficiency and enable faster, more effective production and delivery,” said Seebacher.

Audi Hungaria has also invested heavily in research and development, spending EUR 1.1 billion in 2022 on R&D initiatives, a 4.2% increase from the prior year.

This investment has enabled the company to launch several new vehicle models and engines, including a new V8 engine and the Audi e-tron, an all-electric SUV.

The surge in revenue has enabled Audi Hungaria to expand its global footprint, with the company now exporting vehicles to over 80 countries and employing more than 25,000 workers.

Going forward, the company plans to continue to invest in research and development, digital transformation and employee development.

“We are confident that our investments in these areas will enable us to continue to generate strong growth in the years ahead,” said Seebacher.
