333 hp for the new Audi S3

Audi S3 has never been so powerful: the new model has an output of 333 hp and 420 Nm of torque, sent to the wheels through a seven-speed tronic transmission with short gear changes. Its 2.0 TFSI unit benefits from an additional 23 hp and 20 Nm, which allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h.

The torque converter offered on the RS 3 model is now also available on the S3 model, increasing the car’s acceleration and stability. This technology allows a completely different torque distribution between the rear wheels. The torque divider uses an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch to efficiently distribute torque between the rear wheel in and out of curves.

And that’s not all: the 2024 Audi S3 also has an Audi drive option that offers specific modes (automatic, comfort, power, individual and efficiency), including the new Dynamic Plus mode that ensures high driving dynamics. The electronic stability control (ESC), which benefits from a slight adjustment, is used automatically in sport mode. The engine and transmission have also been specially tuned for Dynamic Plus mode, for more direct throttle response.

New episodes and redefined interiors in the app

The improved active steering also helps the S3 take corners more precisely, while the S sports suspension comes as standard. It reduces the bodywork by 15mm compared to the Audi A3. The same applies to the S sports suspension and dampers, found on the S3 Vorsprung, which have been specially adapted to the torque distribution and the respective Audi vehicle selections. A new generation of electronic stability control is also used, providing an active driving behavior supported by a braking system including large ventilated brake discs on the front axle, with dual-piston calipers and brake pads as well.

Visually, this new Audi S3 stands out with a more sporty look. The Singleframe grille in particular has a new design that is flatter and wider, and the large, angular side air intakes and front spoiler with vertical beams emphasize the dynamic character of the S3. At the rear, a new bumper, gloss black rear apron above the diffuser and four tailpipes are characteristic of the S model. The optional Performance exhaust system has titanium silencers.

New metallic finishes are available to dress the car: “Green District”, “Ascari Blue” and “Progressive Red”, and for the first time “Daytona Grey”, which is also available in a matte finish.

Finally, the interior of the car has been greatly improved. A flat sports steering wheel with leather surround, with multi-function buttons and new chrome steering wheel pads, sports seats with integrated headrests, a new gear lever and decorative cloth inserts, are also included in the programme. and new interior lighting. The covers are made in black with some silver accents. Finally, a black roof liner, stainless steel pedals, illuminated door sills with aluminum inserts adorned with the S logo, and aluminum-style interior trim, underline the sports car’s shape.

The new Audi S3, whose prices remain to be determined, is available in Sportback and sedan versions. Its order book will open in May.
