CONFIG – Become a better dad in no time with our Audi RS6 Avant Performance

Although it’s only a matter of months before the Audi RS6 Avant Performance drops from the brand’s online configurator, we really wanted to build our own example. We didn’t do things by halves and, thanks to us, your children will no longer be embarrassed when you pick them up after school!

The Audi RS6 is probably the most popular car in the RS branch. The German brand has put its sports badge on a good portion of its range, but this is definitely the last of the lot. And for good reason, a big, big station wagon weighing more than 2 tons, carrying a 630 horsepower 4.0 twin-turbo V8, not normal on the street! And such an armada under the hood, The RS6 Avant Performance claims 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 280 km/h! It is enough to knock the times between children’s school and home. An opportunity that comes at a high price, from 149,250 euros.

On the outside, we felt compelled to choose Gris Nardo which, best of all, is free! To make the whole thing more aggressive, we opted for 22-inch black rims. We upgraded everything with a matte black and carbon Aesthetic Package, which includes the front blade, roof bars, rocker panels, diffuser and various other features , against 5,700 euros. We completed all this with carbon fiber glass covers.

For the interior, we started by looking at the RS Plus Red Design Pack option, for 3,300 euros. This includes black leather upholstery with red stitching, as well as reminders on the Alcantara steering wheel, adding, as if that were not enough, a touch of sport. We added heated seats front and back, for 450 euros, as well as an Alcantara headliner. Finally, we opted for the red seat belts, for (buckle yourself) 1,800 euros, with the RS emblems emblazoned on the seats.

For the rest, we added a head-up display, Bang & Olufsen Hi-Fi with 3D sound for 6,250 euros, door locks (soft-close), driving assistance packages, aluminum tank cover with Audi valve covers .

Unconvinced by the top speed of 280 km/h promised by Audi, we checked out the RS Plus Dynamic Pack for 11,000 euros. Yes, it is expensive, but the top speed increases to 305 km / h, while the car gets a special and different suspension. We added the RS Sport Chassis, for 1,500 euros. Without doubt, we have not forgotten the RS sports exhaust for 1,700 euros, to make sure the neighbors are aware that the children go to school in the morning!

We admit, we had a heavy hand when choosing from the list of options. It must be said that absolutely everything we wanted, so we can almost say that we were wise. So we added 41,944 euros of additional equipment, reaching a total bill of 191,194 euros. Almost total, in fact, since we have to add the ecological penalty of 60,000 euros, which is only small.
