Milan of the United States | Vehicle Tracking

During the 1980s, Alfa Romeo had American ambitions. Spiders sold well there, but in Milan we hope to step up a gear, in terms of sales volume. At this time, the 75 sedan was already released in Europe and management believed that a 2.5 liter V6 version could appeal to the USA.

At the end of 86, the first models sailed and were renamed with the model name: Milano. The Italian city’s name originated with the brand in Biscione, and why not start a new life across the Atlantic? But above all, commercially, Milano is the capital of luxury, of the transalpine life and during the financial years, anything that gives us is good to take.

The 75 Milano is of course brought to American standards and therefore wears large bumpers, unattractive to some brand lovers, more beautiful to others. That’s not all, the Milanos had a lot of equipment (at the time, that meant electric windows as standard, for example) and of course an automatic gearbox was included in the options.

The 2.5-liter V6 will be joined by 3-liter versions (190 hp). Despite the enthusiasm, there will be no miracle, sales stopped in 1989, less than four years of work, therefore, with more than 4000 units sold. Suffice it to say that today, finding one there and leaning on the wheel on Hollywood Boulevard or 5th Avenue makes you a natural bully… The big 164 takes a chance, hoping to take advantage of the yeast, it won’t do much. better. In our case, this period will bring us the America 75, in the 3-liter V6, but also in the 1.8 Turbo. Collectors!
